2500 years of a Headache!

Too many years now, carrying such a heavy burden… Isn’t it time they set themselves free and do as they please?

Τhe Rabbit Knows, a cartoonist from Greece, collaborates with It’s all, oh so souvenir to me!, and together they carry a series of his drawings, creating the poster collection, Anarchy in the Caryatids. All, with the Caryatid in the leading role! A very sarcastic, unconventional and full of reactive manners, this Caryatid disbands with the most humorous way, all the ideals, symbols and stereotypes that we have ascribed her with all these years.

A caryatid is a sculpted female figure serving as an architectural support taking the place of a column or a pillar supporting an entablature on her head. The Greek term karyatides literally means “maidens of Karyai”, an ancient town of Peloponnese.

Anarchy in the Caryatids. 2.500 of a headache! Α very heavy burden for a very long time now! Αnd it seems that is time now, that they do as they please.

The collection consists of 14 cartoon sketches, having the Caryatid in the leading role. Thinking, questioning, revising and reclaiming all that she’s been standing for or thought to have to been standing for.

Περιγραφή

The Rabbit Knows is a self-taught cartoonist and sketch artist, who creates unique, imaginative sketches with a political, satirical and philosophical content, challenging the stereotypical views of human society. His clever, black humor may come across as innocent and childish, in the same way as his sketches, but his sharp tongue and controversial points of view stand out and are, in fact, disarming!
