CYCLADES FASHION – EFARA IT IS

A fictional fashion magazine inspired by Greek fashion magazines of the 1950 where the artist intervenes painterly with a brush, incorporating familiar elements of Cycladic culture. The models wear violin-shaped Cycladic figurines as necklaces or carry small kraters as they head to a ceremonial gathering. In several compositions, their heads and bodies are replaced with those of Cycladic figurines, creating a surreal image while simultaneously forming an “eternal” model – a timeless fusion of contemporary fashion and the austere elegance of Cycladic art.
